On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Michael Frost

Michael Frost, an audit supervisor at Leicester-based chartered accountants Newby Castleman, has been promoted to assistant manager.

Frost has been with the firm for eight years.

In his new role he will work closely with partners Paul Barnett and Joanne Chilton to supervise the completion of accounts and tax computations for both audit and non-audit clients.

He said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to the position of assistant manager and to be given this opportunity to take on extra responsibilities. I’m looking forward to getting to grips with my new role, developing my skill set and supervising Paul and Joanne’s team.”

Chilton added: “It’s been a pleasure working with Michael over the last eight years as his knowledge, skills and experience have grown steadily, and his promotion to assistant manager is well-deserved.

“I have no doubt that Michael will settle into his new position with ease and continue to provide a friendly and forward-thinking service to our clients.”

Elsewhere in Leicestershire, Anstey-based food safety and health & safety company Navitas Group has appointed a new VP of sales and marketing.

Stuart Coetzee joins the company from AI-focused food wastage scale-up Winnow. He previously worked for POS hospitality technology provider TISSL.

Coetzee has developed tools and services for Michelin-starred chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Jason Atherton and Heston Blumenthal, hospitality group IHG and supermarket chain Morrisons.

Ben Gardner, CEO of Navitas Group, said: “We searched far and wide, both within our industry and externally, to find the right person for this role. Stuart impressed us with a deep knowledge of our complicated market and showed considerable experience in both hardware and software sales, joining us from Winnow. It’s a business with a fantastic reputation in our industry and Stuart clearly learnt a lot from his time there. Added to that, his experience working in the United States is also going to be a huge asset to us as we bring more global clients on board.”
