Legal practice swoops for regional rival

Nottinghamshire-based solicitors Chattertons has announced the acquisition of a rival firm.

The Newark-based law firm finalised a deal to snap up Andrew & Co on 2 December.

Andrew & Co has offices in Lincoln and Newark and employs 53 staff.

The firm’s Newark team has moved into Chattertons’ office in the town following the merger.

Chattertons – which also provides wealth management services across the East Midlands – is now one of the largest firms in the region, with the newly combined practice employing 250 legal and financial staff.
