Dashcam business moves up a gear

Road Angel

Nottingham-based Road Angel is planning to create up to six new jobs as it continues its expansion.

The automotive tech business, known for its dashcam and speed awareness devices, has just launched its first ever TV advertising campaign and is forecasting major growth in 2020.

The Basford firm will create the new roles within its software development team, which will double in size.

Dan Williamson, general manager at Road Angel, said: “2019 has seen a step-change in the business following a major multi-million pound R & D investment programme. We’ve brought out an incredible new product in the Road Angel Pure Touch which is by far the most advanced piece of kit we’ve ever produced and is leading the market in terms of its functionality and capability.

“Then in February 2020 we will be launching the new Road Angel Pure Vision, which will combine the game changing features of the Pure Touch with a state of the art Dash Cam system. None of this would have been possible without the R & D investment we ploughed into the business or the talent and vision of our skilled team of engineers.

“However, we are not ones to rest on our laurels and if we are to capitalise on this we need to find even more talented people to join us and help to develop the next generation of road safety products. We are proud to be a British brand and are seeking the best talent out there to help take us global. In an era of uncertainty for the UK, we’re proud to say that we’re growing and backing our skilled engineers to take us forward in this exciting new era for Road Angel.”
