Work completes on £7.3m office scheme

Work has completed on a £7.3 million office scheme at No1 Great Central Square in Leicester.

The 33,000 sq ft, five-storey Grade A office building on the old Stibbe factory site is part of a wider £45 million development scheme designed by Stephen George + Partners (SGP) for Charles Street Buildings Group.

The 1.89 hectare Great Central Square development will eventually feature two new hotels – a Novotel and an Adagio – plus a new restaurant and public plaza.

The old Great Central Railway Station is also being extensively refurbished.

Work started on site in March 2018.

Ian Yallop, chairman at SGP, said: “We are incredibly proud of how No1 Great Central Square sits within the regeneration site, becoming a key focal point in an aspirational project that will bring new jobs to an already thriving city as well as linking the centre with the City Council’s ambitious Waterside development.”
