Delays of 90 minutes after collision on M1

The M1 northbound in Northamptonshire currently has “severe” delays of 90 minutes between J14 (Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell A509) and J15 (Northampton (S & E), A45), according to Highways England.

The tailbacks are due to 2 lanes (of 3) being closed in long-term roadworks. The lanes are closed due to a collision involving a van and HGV.

A statement from Highways England said: “Road users are urged to consider alternative routes and consider, if possible, delaying their journeys until the incident has been cleared and delays have eased. If you are travelling on the M1 northbound through Northamptonshire please allow plenty of extra time for your journey.”
