Huge HMRC training centre to be sold

Lawress Hall

The 122,000 sq ft HMRC training centre at Lawress Hall on the outskirts of Lincoln is set to be sold.

HMRC announced it would close the centre in 2015 as part of a cost-cutting exercise that has seen a new East Midlands hub created in Nottingham, which is currently under construction.

Lawress Hall was purpose built in 1994 and includes 127 bedrooms, a leisure complex including swimming pool and gym, dedicated seminar and training rooms, ancillary catering and entertaining facilities and parking for 245 cars. It will be sold leasehold when it becomes vacant in April of next year.

Andrew France, associate director – agency & development at LSH, said: “Lawress Hall is an exciting opportunity for the right purchaser. It’s a modern, substantial property that not only blends its current uses seamlessly but has the potential for development into many alternative uses. We expect a high level of interest as landlords increasingly recognise Lincoln’s healthy economy and connections.”
