Stellar year for property firm as revenue tops £13m

SDL Surveying has seen its revenue jump to over £13 million – a year-on-year increase of eight per cent and a record for the company.

The residential surveyors grew its market share to 20 per cent after completing 220,000 valuations in 2019, a stellar year for the business which also saw it more than double the size of its national network.

Revenue growth at the Nottingham-based firm was driven by an increase in its managed volumes and work carried out via its internal surveyors.

Its market share was boosted by increases in allocation from some of its lenders, with one granting the company lead panel manager status with effect from January – an appointment which should see it begin to build on its strong performance in 2019.

Simon Jackson, managing director at SDL Surveying, said: “2019 has been a fantastic year for the business – we have significantly increased our market share, by increases in allocation and becoming lead panel manager for one of lenders with whom we have had a longstanding partnership. We are excited to kick-start the new year by becoming the lead panel manager for another one of our lender clients.

“In order to fulfil the increases in allocation, we have successfully grown both our network and the number of our own staff surveyors throughout 2019, and we will be looking to do the same in 2020.

“These achievements throughout the year would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the hard work and dedication of the entire SDL Surveying team, of whom I am really proud.”
