On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

(L-R): Corynne Clarke, Lucy Sherwin and Annie Litchfield

Derbyshire-based HR and training consultancy Loates HR has hired two new staff and increased the days of one of its team following a successful 12 months which saw it increase its turnover by 41 per cent.

HR and soft skills trainer Annie Litchfield and HR and training administrator Corynne Clarke have recently joined the firm, while HR consultant Lucy Sherwin has extended from two and a half to four days a week.

Clarke, who can speak Polish and use sign language, said: “When you apply for a job you can get lost in the corporate side but I knew as soon as I saw the Loates HR website that I would be at home. It emphasises company values and it is much more involved and personal than most.”

Litchfield, who joins from a logistics company, added: “We want to give added value to our clients, offering the training which will help them to prevent workplace issues rather than having to fire-fight.

“Therefore, I will be training people in personal and communications skills, leadership and time management.

“I am really excited about the opportunity and challenge. Training is my passion.”

Elsewhere, national multidisciplinary consultancy Pegasus Group has appointed a new associate urban designer for the East Midlands.

Pegasus Group managing director Tony Bateman said: “The Group has had a very good last 6 months despite difficult trading conditions and I believe we will see this continue into 2020.
