Leicester firm to create new jobs after £1m investment

Big investment in new equipment

A Leicester laser cutting firm says it wants to create over 10 jobs this year after investing £1m in new equipment.

ADS Laser Cutting has bought a new laser cutting machine from Trumpf and says it will create new jobs.

The new machinery will cut thicker metal and quicker whilst maintaining high levels of quality, says the company.

Duncan Keates and his brother Stephen who started ADS Laser in 2005, said: “We have grown the business by listening to customers, supplying high quality products and solutions backed by excellent customer experience, but above all employing great people.

“From a handful of us in 2005 we now have over 60 employees and this new laser cutter will propel us to over 70 this year.

“We have never been a company who stands still and whatever the outcome of Brexit negotiations, we need to be competitive by having the latest technology and continuing our investment.”
