Major Derby office building on the market

Northgate House

A former Derby tax office which closed when its staff relocated to Nottingham last year has come onto the market.

Northgate House, which borders both Friar Gate and Agard Street and stretches to 44,451 sq ft, housed around 200 people when it was open.

It has been marketed by Salloway Property Consultants whose managing director, Stephen Salloway, said: “It is very rare that such a large office space should be available so close to the city centre because many have been converted to residential.

“This is a 44,451 sq ft property which is open-plan and available to let at highly competitive and flexible terms.

“It has two separate pedestrian entrances, from its impressive Friar Gate frontage and also from Agard Street, where on-site car parking is situated.

“Friar Gate is a prestigious and historic quarter of Derby, with a renowned Georgian streetscape that has helped to established it as a preferred business location, well served with restaurants and cafés.

There is the opportunity to adapt and potentially improve the Agard Street entrance, for which architectural drawings have been created.”

“Northgate House is immediately adjacent to the inner ring road, which means it has access to all parts of the city centre and its arterial roads are first-class.”
