£9m school sports redevelopment completes

A multi-million pound project to create new sports facilities at Repton School has completed.

The School’s Sports development project began four years ago, the £9m pound redevelopment project created new facilities for the school and community. The development included an indoor Olympic-sized indoor hockey pitch, one of only a handful in the country.

The development involved the stitching together of four different buildings across 21,500 sq ft of buildings.

Matthew Montague designed the scheme. Associate director, Daniel Evans, said: “The redevelopment of these buildings needed to bring two worlds together; the old and the new needed to blend in form and architectural style.

“The project was tricky due to the hotchpotch nature of architectural styles at varying degrees of repair/disrepair. We had a great team with the school and the main contractors; Davlyn Construction and delivered a great result.”
