Nottingham marketing firm lands new tech client

Nottingham-based Simple Marketing Consultancy (SMC) has landed a contract to work with Derby-based ICT support specialist Link ICT Services.
The news comes after Link ICT Services has seen an uptick in demand from companies wanting to set up more secure remote access facilities for employees working from home.
Founded in 2004, Link ICT Services has developed its reputation by providing technical support to schools and businesses.
Mark Fryers from the firm said: “I initially appointed SMC to help us build our portfolio of local businesses across the East Midlands. More recently the demand for secure and robust IT and telecoms systems caused by the recent pandemic has increased dramatically.”
He added: “Whilst most businesses were prepared, some had to rush to provide remote access and it is these businesses who are now looking to improve security given that remote working is likely to be a more permanent arrangement.
“We’re also finding that some companies are not able to seamlessly divert phone calls made to company landlines to employees working from home. Instead they have been using their own mobile phones to return calls. This has the potential to create data protection and safeguarding issues, particularly for school teachers.”
Simple Marketing Consultancy was found in 2010 and is run by co-directors Elliot & Bev Cook.
Elliot Cook said: “So far we have helped Link ICT develop a focused marketing strategy. This has included the launch of a new website and a regular and co-ordinated programme of marketing communications. The next phase will be focused on helping our client attract businesses who are keen to ensure the connections their employees use to gain remote access to company IT network and phone systems are secure and will reduce the risk of cyber fraud.”
