Work to start on village housing scheme

Work is soon to start on the construction of 400 energy efficient homes in a Derbyshire village.

Situated off Kedleston Road in the village of Allestree, Kedleston Grange is close to the grounds of the stunning Kedleston Hall.

The new development from Miller Homes will feature a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, as well as one and two-bedroom apartments.

Works are set to begin on the first phase of 151 homes at the development at the beginning of August, with the show home due to open in March 2021.

Alastair Parsons, area sales director for Miller Homes Midlands, said: “It’s always really special when we can bring a new neighbourhood to a great location and this upcoming launch is no exception. For us, a new development is about much more than just the homes we build. It’s about creating warm and inviting neighbourhoods that people will be proud to call home.

“Allestree is a fantastic location that benefits from an almost rural aesthetic but with close links to Derby making it the ideal spot for young professionals, couples and families.”
