Simplify, the Leicester conveyancing and property services group, has appointed Nicky Bloor-West as head of business development.

She brings with her over 18 years’ industry experience, including 12 years as area director at rightmove, regional sales manager for OnTheMarket and more recently as head of partnership development at Lifetime Legal.

“She has a great track record of working closely with estate agent partners and building lasting relationships and we have already had many in the industry welcoming her addition to our team.”

Bloor-West said: “I’m really excited to have joined Simplify at such an exciting time. This is a fantastic opportunity and I am looking forward to being part of a first class offering to estate agents, while taking advantage of the market-leading technology. I look forward to meeting new and existing customers over the coming weeks.”

A Derbyshire IT firm has recruited a new apprentice as it boosts its sales support team.

Eighteen-year-old Josh Young has joined Axess Systems, which is based on the Denby Hall Business Park, as an internal account manager. The role will see him dealing with customers, quoting for jobs, working between account managers, data collecting and dealing with pre-sale queries.

Young said: “I have really enjoyed my first few weeks at Axess Systems and I’m looking forward to progressing here. Axess Systems are a very forward-thinking business and the apprentices who they have employed in the past have gone on to bigger and better things.”
