Meanwhile, Derbyshire MPs have held a meeting with Health Minister Nadine Dorries to discuss introduction of Tier 2 restrictions for rest of Derbyshire.

However, according to the Labour MP for Chesterfield Toby Perkins, the meeting had to be cut short as the meeting had been set up on a free Zoom account which cut off after 45 minutes.

Perkins described the incident as “amateur hour”. Despite this, the Government has placed North and North East Lincolnshire, Amber Valley, Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales, Derby, South Derbyshire, High Peak and Charnwood  into Tier 2 restrictions from one minute past midnight on Saturday.
