Plans revealed to regenerate Nottingham commercial site

How the new scheme would look

Plans to build 49 new homes on a brownfield site in the Nottinghamshire suburb of Basford have been revealed.

H&H Developments wants to kickstart the scheme on land to the south of Nottingham Road. It would include 15 one-bed flats, 27 two-bed apartments, 6 three-bed houses and 1 four-bed house.

The site is currently used for commercial purposes and consists of two main buildings and a number of temporary structures.

The scheme is being designed by Jackson Design Associates.

A planning statement reads: “There is a clear need, as demonstrated by the existing physical condition of the area, to regenerate this important part of Old Basford.

“The proposed development will make a major contribution towards preserving and enhancing the character and appearance of this part of Old Basford to the benefit of the wider community as a whole.”
