Fibre network firm takes 20-year lease on Nottingham premises

CityFibre has taken a 20-year lease on a 5,000 sq ft unit at Barwood Capital’s Swinstead Close in Nottingham.

The provider of wholesale fibre network infrastructure has moved into Unit 4 on the industrial park in deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants on behalf of landlord Caisson Asset Management.

Dan Maynard, partner at Caisson Investment Management, said: “Swinstead Close has been a great success story. FHP and CPP were appointed at acquisition and have worked incredibly hard to drive the vacancy down from 55%, secure good quality tenants and realise optimal rents.

“This, coupled with our extensive refurbishment programme, has repositioned the estate and considerably improved its reputation.”

Chris Proctor of FHP Property Consultants said: “Barwood Capital and Caisson Investment Management have delivered a high quality refurbishment to the estate which has rightfully been well received by the local market with the conclusion of five lettings over the course of 2020 and all leases achieving good quality headline rents and long term lease lengths.”
