Plans revealed to build student flats on former church site

How the scheme could look

The site of a former Methodist church in Beeston could be turned into a 32-bed student accommodation scheme.

Plans to redevelop and extend the site on Wollaton Road have been revealed by Dino Labbate of NG9 Developments, who wants to build a four-storey blok at the back of the church which would include eight different houses of multiple occupation.

The interior plans outline four 5-bedroom apartments and four 3-bed flats.

The plans also outline space for storing 30 bikes.

A statement from Swish Architecture reads: “We have carefully considered the overall approach of our scheme in order to create an appropriate response for the site that will have a positive impact on the area in terms of providing high quality accommodation whilst avoiding any negative impact on surrounding amenity.”
