Discount services firm adds 60 staff to team

Blue Light Card, the Loughborough discount service for the emergency services, NHS, social care sector and armed forces, has announced a record 60 hires in the 12 months leading up to March.

The new appointments mark a “significant” year of growth for Blue Light Card, which is currently partnered with 15,000 retail partners. As a result of the new hires, Blue Light Card sasy it has increased its workforce by 152% in the last year.

New recruits include Vicky Norrish, who has joined the team as chief financial officer. Norrish brings 25 years of experience to the role and will be responsible for managing the financial, people and legal aspects of the business. Kim Boot has taken the role of head of people, culture and talent.

Blue Light Card has also appointed Alex Gray, as head of data insights and analytics. He will be responsible for working across the business to ensure the team can utilise its data to make better-informed decisions for members and partners alike. Meanwhile, Sarah Taylor has joined as campaign marketing manager.

William Campbell-Lamerton has taken on the role of partnerships and operations manager for Blue Light Tickets, a new side of the business which allows the blue light community to enter ballots to get free tickets to a number of events across the UK. Joachim Shotter and Sajhd Hussain have both joined Blue Light Card as UI and UX developers, bringing more than 20 years of design experience to the company.

The team has also welcomed a raft of staff in other roles, including 17 new customer service executives and further additions to the technology, partnerships and HR and people teams.
