Agency round-up: Purpose Media; Shooting Star PR; Sorted Communications

Web development, creative and digital marketing agency Purpose Media has been commissioned by a global IT business to help it achieve an ambitious programme of growth.

Derby-baed Bam Boom Cloud already has operations in the UK, US, Canada, India and Ireland and is looking to further expand its footprint.

It will now work alongside digital marketing experts from the Derbyshire-based agency to increase its profile domestically and internationally.

The company, formerly known as Cooper Parry IT, was bought out by its management team earlier this year and is now targeting a trebling of its £9m annual turnover in the next three years.

Chief executive Vicky Critchley said: “There will be no slowdown in pace as we are determined to continue to grow our customer base in the UK, America and other international markets,” she said.

“That’s where Purpose Media will come in – helping us share our story across the world.

“They are experts in their area, are customer-focused, results-driven and tell it exactly as it is. We know they will be a real asset in our quest for further growth.”

Purpose Media managing director Matt Wheatcroft said his team would be providing expertise in paid media, search engine optimisation and digital content to help Bam Boom Cloud achieve its goals.

“It’s great to welcome such a successful, vibrant and high-profile client on board. Bam Boom Cloud joins a growing list of companies who are trusting us to grow their digital presence, engage with new audiences and deliver new business opportunities,” he said.

Lincoln-based PR, marketing and digital agency Shooting Star has been hired by The Hive in Skegness.

The agency will be delivering a full suite of PR, marketing and digital activity, with special event planning for the unveiling of seven new bars at the complex over the summer including an exciting new Supercar VIP lounge and ice bar.

The Hive is a multimillion-pound nightlife complex, home to a variety of bars and clubs including Buster’s Fun Pub, Gilly’s Rum and Reggae Bar, Kush Nightclub and Tantra Cocktail Bar.

Over the coming months The Hive will be unveiling its latest additions to the Skegness nightlife scene with the launch of a new Supercar VIP Lounge in June and a phenomenal Ice Bar Experience – the only one of its kind in the UK – at the end of July.

Taj Bola, owner of The Hive, said: “We have appointed Shooting Star to support us with our communications so that we can ensure that everyone is aware of just how much is on offer here in Skegness. We want people to join us in not only celebrating the existing bars and clubs we all know and love, but also looking forward to experiencing the many exciting things we have planned for the summer to enjoy the new venues as they are each unveiled.”

Katie Gibson

Nottingham-based communications agency Sorted Communications has welcomed a new face to its team.

Katie Gibson joins Sorted Communications as its new communications manager. She brings more than a decade of communications experience, having worked in a variety of industries and for well-known names such as WHSmith and Thames Water.

Sorted Communications director and founder Ali Marsland said: “Katie comes on board at an exciting time for us as we continue to grow and take on new clients. In her new role, Katie will primarily focus on managing our clients’ larger publication projects from start to finish, working in partnership with our experienced designers and other suppliers to deliver a seamless experience.”
