Games Workshop staff in line for £12m windfall as profits soar
Staff at Games Workshop, the Nottingham-based fantasy games manufacturer and retailer, are set to benefit from a £12m windfall after the firm’s profits soared over the last year.
The firm estimates that, for the year-ending May 30, turnover will rise from £270m to £350m, while profits will power up from £89m to around £150m this year.
Last year’s staff bonus came in at £2m, compared to £12m this year. The bonus is shared equally among the Games Workshop staff.
Shareholders are also set to benefit from the stellar performance after the board declared a dividend of 50 pence per share, meaning that, for the 20/21 financial year stakeholders will receive 235p for each share they own.
Games Workshop expects to announced its full-year results on July 27.
