First interior images revealed of £17m aparthotel renovation

New pictures showing how the luxury apartments in The Gresham will look have been revealed.

The Gresham is a Grade II listed Victorian building in Market Street, Leicester, that is currently undergoing a £17m renovation by developer owners, Aimrok Holdings.

Known formerly as Fenwicks, it is due to open in early Autumn as a 121-room aparthotel with four premium commercial units and 12,000 sq ft of state-of-the-art office accommodation and meeting space.

Images of aparthotel rooms have been released following the recent completion of the show apartment.

The apartments will all be kitted out with a kitchen, and bathroom facilities with luxury toiletries; a selection of king, super-king or twins sized beds; and a contemporary living and dining area.

Mark Copson, director at Aimrok Holdings said: “It’s great to see The Gresham starting to take shape. It’s been a long year hampered by the pandemic but I am pleased to say that due to the innovative measures that we took in our construction processes, we are on track to open on time.

“We’re really excited to be opening one of Leicester’s few aparthotels. We chose this route because it’s what the market is demanding. Aparthotels offer a greater degree of flexibility and, having their own facilities, guests can be as self-contained as they want to be – much like having their own flat.

“The development is making great strides. Apartments on the first and second floors have all been equipped with their kitchen, bathroom, plumbing and electrics, ready for decorating and work on fitting out the other floors is also progressing well.”
