People: Carlton Forest Renewables; PermaGroup

A financial director has made a move to head up a renewables project after taking on the role of managing director.

Scott Robson has moved to Worksop-based Carlton Forest Renewables, a division of his current employer Carlton Forest Group

“This is another chapter in my career, and in the business, and over the coming months we will achieve our goals and see the plant become fully operational,” said Robson.

He added: “Challenges presented by the pandemic has seen inevitable delays, but now we are looking forward to a strong future as we showcase the only truly circular way to dispose of end of life tyres in the UK, and champion the sustainability benefits that our solution brings.”

Mark Pepper, Carlton Forest Group CEO, said: “Scott’s career history means he is well placed to run this division of the group and I am sure he will achieve great things. He has already proved his capabilities and impressive business acumen, and I know that he will be a well-respected and successful Managing Director of our renewables division.”

Derbyshire-based PermaGroup has appointed an apprentice and area sales manager.

Nicole Parkes has joined PermaGroup, which has its head office in Alfreton, as an apprentice in internal sales, while Tony Pitts has become part of the firm’s sales team.

Parkes said: “PermaGroup is a growing business, which has repeatedly hit targets and achieved its growth plans even throughout the pandemic. I also love that the staff here speak so highly of each other and the firm as a whole; everyone respects one another, and it makes a great place to work.”

Pitts has joined PermaGroup with five years’ managerial experience to bring to the team.

He said: “Joining PermaGroup has been really interesting and I’m really enjoying learning about all the fantastic brands and products within the umbrella company. The PermaGroup team are a great support and I’m delighted to be here as I further my career.”
