Nottingham-based Younas Family, which has its headquarters in Sherwood, has bought three care homes in Yorkshire.

The Younas family currently run over twenty homes nationally.

It has now spent £6m on purchasing three care facilities, including Richmond Heights care home in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, which is registered for 51 older people with nursing needs.

The other Sheffield-based facility is the Norton Lees Hall and Lodge care home which has space for 80 older people with dementia.

It has also acquired the 45-bed Eden Court care home in Birkenshaw just outside Bradford in West Yorkshire. Its residents require nursing care.

Anita Allen of Bespoke Care acted as agent.

Speaking on behalf of the Younas Family, Rahmeez Younas said: “It’s amazing to have completed these three transactions within the space of one working week.”

“Our teams have done a sterling job managing the handovers so smoothly. We warmly welcome all the staff, managers and residents into our ‘care family’.

“We remain committed to maintaining our family ethos at each individual care home even though we are now quite a substantial regional group.

“We are focussed on further expansion and have a few other transactions to complete in the fourth quarter of 2021.

“We thank Anita Allen at Bespoke Care for her professional approach managing these deals with us.”

Allen said: “The last 18 months has proved challenging for the UK social care sector with the Covid pandemic affecting independent single care homes, large national corporate operators and regional care groups.

“Investors, owners, managers and staff have all worked tirelessly and shown true resilience.

“The focus had to be on protecting the service users, supporting staff teams and helping relatives stay in touch during the first lockdown.

“The Younas family remained committed to adding to its care group throughout 2020-2021 and we are delighted to have worked with them on these transactions.”
