Legal and professional services firm launches debt advisory division
Knights, the legal and professional services business which has offices across the Midlands, has launched a debt advisory division.
Knights said its specialist debt advisers act independently from lenders, offering clients a proposition where they can receive both debt and legal advice from one business.
The team comprises senior corporate bankers and debt advisory specialists, with experience of corporate banking and an extensive knowledge of the debt market, together with debt finance lawyers.
The team is bolstered with the additions of Tony Dean, a senior corporate banker who has over 30 years’ experience working at RBS, HSBC and Santander and Jonathan Edwards, one of the top corporate banking lawyers in the North West.

With the increasing presence of challenger banks and debt funds with capital to deploy, there is increasing competition with clearing banks who are also looking to grow their balance sheets. Following the withdrawal of the various Government schemes to support businesses through the lockdown, there are many businesses who require specialist advice to structure their debt to meet the challenges of the post-pandemic economy.
