People: Law firm adds five; new senior tax associate in Leicester
Law firm Freeths has expanded its employment and pensions practice with the appointment of five new lawyers.
The employment team has been bolstered by Amy Brokenshire (director) joining the Birmingham office, Paul Bownes (managing associate) and Alex Reid (associate) joining the Leicester office, and Andrew Dixon (associate) qualifying into the Nottingham office, whilst Nigel Jones (director) joins the firm’s pensions team in Leeds.

The employment, pensions and immigration practice has seen a 50% increase in turnover in the last four years, and the last 18 months has seen a significant increase in demand for our services due to Brexit and COVID-19.

Akshay Vaghela
The WestBridge Group has strengthened its tax team in Leicester following the appointment of Akshay Vaghela as a senior tax associate.
Vaghela has an accounting and finance degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and joins from London based accountancy firm Wilson Wright.
Tom Moore, tax specialist and director of WestBridge Group said: “Although our HQ is based in Leicester and we have a flexible working policy, our client base is nationwide so it is important that we expand our team to cover other key strategic locations. We are delighted that Akshay has joined us as he will bring more expertise and dynamism to our specialist tax team.”
