People: Law firm adds to residential team; Notts company expands outside of region

Law firm Freeths has announced new hires in its Residential Development team.
Holly Chadwick has joined as a senior associate from Browne Jacobson, with a wealth of experience in both social housing and residential development, together with Zara Hussain as an associate, from Glover Priest in Birmingham.
They are amongst 13 lateral hires to join the wider Real Estate department nationally since the start of the year. This is alongside a raft of solicitors who trained with Freeths who have recently qualified into the Residential Development team: Lorna Trimble in March and both Dominic Bent and Ksenia Kavtaskin in September.
Patrick Adie, partner in the Nottingham team, said: “We’re delighted that the best and brightest young lawyers are choosing to join our residential development team – as a result of our outstanding reputation, the quality of our clients and the scale of our ambition. Housebuilding is an exciting sector to be working in but it is also the supportive, flexible and progressive working environment at Freeths that helps us attract and retain our team members and motivates them to provide great service to our clients.”
Sarah Rowe, who leads the team’s Social Housing specialism, added: “The expansion of our team and in particular the hire of Holly is due to recent tender wins, including Midland Heart and Torus and shows the firm’s ongoing commitment to the Social Housing sector.”
Simon Brighty
Nottinghamshire fire and security system installation and maintenance company Tecserv UK has expanded its presence in East Anglia following the appointment of Simon Brighty as area manager for the region.
Brighty, who has worked in the industry since 1995, joins the company from Honeywell Building Solutions where he has spent the last 18 years in a variety of servicing, project management and field based roles supervising teams of service technicians.
In his new role, Brighty will be responsible for growing the service base in the East Anglia Area and managing a growing team of service engineers. This will include estimating new projects and small works opportunities.
He said: “After a long period working for the same company I needed a change and a fresh challenge. Tecserv has a great reputation within the fire and security industry, and I am excited about the opportunity to help them develop their East Anglian presence based on my previous skills and experience.”
Colin Milligan, Tecserv UK sales director added: “Simon brings a wide range of managerial, supervisory and technical expertise to the team and has a wide network of contacts in East Anglia that we hope will help to expand our profile and reputation further in this region.”
