People: Meteoric rise for logistics pro; software firm adds to team again

Adam Jones

A logistics professional has been promoted to the role of chief commercial officer of the firm he works for.

Adam Jones, managing director at Carlton Forest 3PL, will assume the role on the group board of directors from Thursday 18th November, just ten months after he joined the company.

“Adam has made a significant impression on the board and the business, and his tenacity and determination for success has seen the 3PL division grow exponentially since he joined us,” said Mark Pepper, CEO, Carlton Forest Group. “His promotion to our board is very well deserved, and I know that he will be a great asset across all commercial operations of the group, including 3PL and renewables.”

Since February the 3PL division has doubled its footprint, both in warehouse space and turnover, and Jones has strengthened the 3PL team with a recruitment drive to secure some of the best professionals in the industry.

Jones said: “It’s been an exhilarating time so far at Carlton Forest and I’m very pleased to secure this promotion and to be able to play my part in leading all group commercial operations, not just 3PL.

“The future for the company looks fantastic, and I will continue to drive forward its growth and success with my colleagues across the company.”
