Fried chicken chain creates 50 jobs as it opens Nottingham restaurant

Fried chicken chain Jollibee has launched its first Nottingham restaurant, creating 50 jobs in the heart of the city.

Queues of around 150 people waited outside the restaurant for it to open on Thursday morning (December 16). The chain, which has its roots in the Phillipines will be open from 10am-10pm every day and can seat 140 customers.

Adam Parkinson, business head of Jollibee Europe, who was at the ribbon cutting ceremony this morning to open the store commented: “The Spicy Chickenjoy has been flying out of the kitchen this morning as many Nottingham locals turned up to discover Jollibee’s amazing menu and our incredible customer service. If you haven’t tried our food before, then you are missing out. Come down and see for yourself what all the fuss is about.”

The launch comes as the restaurant brand quickly expands across the UK and Europe, investing £50m in the region, and opening six stores during 2021.

Parkinson added: “As we come into the Christmas period and the end of the year, we reflect on the incredible response we have had from each and every store we have opened over the last year. While this is our final store opening of 2021, you will be seeing us very soon in the new year, continuing to launch across the UK.”
