People: Flint Bishop; Marrons Planning

Dal Virdi

Law firm Flint Bishop has appointed Dal Virdi as chief information officer (CIO).

Virdi brings with him with more than 20 years’ experience in senior IT management roles, having worked at organisations such as the Metropolitan Police and Ministry of Justice, before moving into the legal field as head of IT strategy, architecture and engagement for Irwin Mitchell in 2012.

Virdi joins Flint Bishop from law firm Shakespeare Martineau (SHMA), where he held the role of IT director since 2018.

He said: “I am really pleased to have joined Flint Bishop at such an exciting period of transformation at the firm. I am a big believer that IT excellence can make a positive impact on the organisational goals of any business, so I plan to invest time with my new colleagues to find ways to support them.

“I look forward to continuing to drive innovation through information security, applications, networking and operations to support the firm’s continued growth.”

Jacqueline Jackson

Jacqueline Jackson has joined Marrons Planning – expanding the consultancy’s Leicester office hub.

Taking on the role of planning director, Jackson joins the consultancy after more than three years as development management group leader at Charnwood Borough Council – a role she worked her way up to after joining the local authority as a trainee planning officer in 2003.

She said: “As I have spent my entire career in the public sector, there isn’t much I haven’t come across or dealt with – from small applications and listed buildings all the way through to sustainable urban extensions. I am looking forward to using the knowledge I have learned in local government, as well as my leadership and business management skills to drive Marrons Planning forward.”
