Nottingham lab services firm pledges £100,000-plus in aid to Ukraine

SourceBio International, the Nottingham-based laboratory services firm, has revealed plans to make a substantial investment in sending supplies to war-torn Ukraine.
The firn says it is assembling an express shipment of laboratory and medical consumables, laboratory equipment and ancillary supplies to be sent to assist, “as urgently as possible”, the people of Ukraine. Separately, the company is committing £100,000 of cash funding to secure the delivery of trauma kits to Ukraine.
Christopher Mills, director and shareholder, saod: “The rest of the world has watched with horror the unfolding events in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion. Russia has created an appalling situation that cannot be ignored and we all must stand up and support the people of Ukraine It is the morally right thing to do. Myself and the rest of the SourceBio board feel very deeply that we must offer some direct support. I would encourage all companies, public or private, whatever their size, to provide similar tangible support to Ukraine.”
