Almost 700 jobs to be created at Derbyshire scheme

Plans for some 380,000 sq ft of logistics space have been submitted at a site in Deryshire that could bring forward almost 700 jobs.

Acting on behalf of Clowes Developments, Asteer Planning has submitted a planning applications for four new employment sites at Dove Valley Park. The plans will provide a further 380,000 sq ft of logistics floorspace at Foston, South Derbyshire.

The planning applications seek full planning approval for the erection of four speculative units and a further unit for OGM Holdings, a plastic injection moulding firm.

Alice Routledge at Asteer Planning said: “Our client has been careful to create plans which will provide modern, purpose-built, sustainable units for a variety of uses. With job creation and sustainability at the heart of the proposals, approval of this suite of applications will significantly increase the site’s attractiveness and further bolster Dove Valley Park’s growing reputation as a highly sought after industrial and logistics location.”
