A high-flying East Midlands and Yorkshire-based recruitment firm is set to open a new office in Nottingham – and says it is planning to create more jobs and open another location after experiencing a period of rapid growth.

Sky Recruitment Solutions, which is headquartered in Derby, will launch its Nottingham office – the firm’s ninth overall – on 1 June.

The new branch will be based at the Cubo Work serviced offices on King Street and overseen by Craig Cheetham, who runs the firm’s offices in Ripley and Mansfield.

The company had just three offices and eight staff at the beginning of 2020, but now employs nearly 40 people.

Owner and managing director David Torrington – a die-hard Nottingham Forest supporter – expects to grow to 10 offices and 50 employees by the end of 2022.

He said: “I am so passionate about Nottingham and everything in it. It’s a major personal milestone for me to be finally opening a Sky Recruitment Solutions office in the city that I love and know so well.

“Sky’s success in the past two years has been nothing less than staggering. Our ambitious expansion plans have truly come off for us so far, and we are now well-placed to take on the biggest and best in Nottingham.”

He added: “There are several significant prominent industrial estates within just a few miles of Nottingham city centre, and there’s a surge of picker and packer roles available at the moment. The recruitment market is still very much booming.”
