Plans revealed for new Lace Market hotel

Plans to turn an 18th Century office building in Nottingham’s Lace Market into a hotel have been submitted to Nottingham City Council.
Paul Hicking Associates, on behalf of St Mary’s Chambers (Nottingham) has drawn up plans to change the offices at 26-28 High Pavement to 18 two-bedroom hotel apartments.
Documents outline plans to extend the buildings to the rear to build three apartments and a new roof terrace.
The basement has direct access to the Nottingham cave system which runs under the rear yard.
A planning statement reads: “The interior of the apartments will comprise of high quality contemporary modern and traditional themes which are individual to each apartment whilst retaining the features ceilings and cornice details.”
