Contractor revealed on 1m sq ft business park
Work is due to begin on a new business park near Nottingham which will provide 1 million sq ft of commercial space once complete.
Derbyshire-based TanRo has been named as lead contractor at Fairham Business Park and will soon arrive on site to begin delivery of the development’s first phase.
The 50-acre scheme is being brought forward as part of a joint venture between Clowes Developments and Homes England, the government’s housing accelerator.
The business park forms part of the wider Fairham scheme, which is located alongside Remembrance Way by the NET tram terminus at Clifton.
The £800m scheme will provide up to 3,000 new homes, a new neighbourhood centre with shops, community buildings, a health centre and a new primary school.
£100m worth of infrastructure improvements will also be made, with the ambitious project expected to create over 2,000 new jobs.
TanRo’s Fintan Phelan said: “We are delighted to be awarded construction lead for the state-of-the-art commercial units at Fairham Business Park. We have recently completed the construction of two ‘built to suit’ facilities at Clowes own Etiquette Park in Ilkeston, on time and according to a very tight schedule. We are ready for this next challenge are delighted to be part of such an exciting project.”

Leicester-based IMA Architects led on the design of the industrial facilities at Fairham Business Park.

FHP Property Consultants and Savills have been appointed to market the scheme.
