Haulage firm signs up for 133,000 sq ft unit

A haulage and warehousing firm has taken a 133,000 sq ft unit in Northampton after agreeing a deal with Aviva Investors.
The unit at Swan Valley Industrial Park has been let to WT Transport. The unit, known as Rothbart133, was speculatively developed by Aviva Investors and reached practical completion in July 2022. WT transport has signed a 10-year lease at the facility.
It is one of a number that Aviva Investors has invested into at Swan Valley, and follows the recent development of Odette58, which was let to Fisher & Paykel in 2021 also on a ten-year lease.
The letting agents were Avison Young and Burbage Realty, with Chadwick McRae acting for WT Transport.
James Stevens, head of real estate investment at Aviva Investors, said: “We are pleased to have gained a high-quality tenant for this unit in the form of WT Transport so soon after completing speculative development of the unit. This is a welcome validation of our ability to develop and supply high-quality facilities which have occupiers’ needs front-of-mind whilst also being sustainable and more in keeping with a low carbon future.”
