Nottingham family business seals multimillion-pound triple property deal

A distributor of ground care and garden machinery has snapped up three buildings in Nottingham with a floorspace of almost 50,000 sq ft in a multimillion-pound deal.
The three properties, which consist of a 3,483 sq ft and 5,600 sq ft office space, plus a 39,986 sq ft industrial warehouse are on Abbeyfield Road in Nottingham.
Henton and Chattell, a family business operating for almost 100 years, employs 85 people.
Scott Osborne, director at Innes England, who acted on behalf of Henton and Chattell, said: “The site was a unique opportunity and therefore an attractive proposition and one that we’re delighted to have secured for a growing local business such as Henton and Chattell. The trio of buildings is in the ideal location to serve its current and future business needs, extending its operation not only in Nottingham but across the region as a whole.”
Peter Chaloner, managing director of Henton and Chattell, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to expand our business in the East Midlands in line with our ambitious targets. Innes England’s team was a great help throughout the sale and were responsive and receptive to our thoughts and feedback.
“Once they found the right opportunity for us, they wasted no time in securing it for us. We look forward to working with them again.”
The vendor was represented by FHP Property Consultants.
