Wealth manager names former KPMG partner as CEO

Nottingham-based wealth management company Fiscal Engineers has appointed a new CEO.

Anthony Hambleton succeeds Wayne Cox in the hot seat after the incumbent boss announced his retirement.

Hambleton joins Fiscal Engineers from KPMG, where he was partner and head of the firm’s East Midlands audit practice.

Cox, who spent seven years in charge at Fiscal Engineers, will continue to act in an advisory capacity during a carefully planned handover period.

Hambleton said: “I’m extremely excited by this move, because everyone in our profession is aware of Fiscal Engineers’ outstanding reputation.

“I’ve also known Wayne and other members of the team for many years, so I really feel like I’m joining a family I’ve been close to for a long time.”

He added: “Wayne has done an amazing job, and I know I have a tough act to follow.

“The fact that we’re going to be able to work side by side while I settle in will ensure a seamless transition, which is what our clients would expect.”

Shane Mullins, Fiscal Engineers’ founder and executive chairman, said: “We’ve had time to think about how to make this process work to best effect. We’re very fortunate to have such a flexible arrangement, with Wayne and Anthony sharing knowledge and expertise during the handover period.

Fiscal Engineers was established in 2000 and has offices in Nottingham, Birmingham and London.
