Midlands firm is latest to join highly acquisitive RSK Group
Acquisitive sustainable solutions group, RSK, has completed its latest takeover deal involving Midlands firm Travis Baker.
The Cheshire group is strengthening its engineering credentials and its relationship with major UK housebuilders with its deal for the civil, structural, geo-environmental and engineering consultant, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2006, Travis Baker has a 40-plus team working across two offices in Birmingham and Nottingham with an annual turnover of £4.5m in the last financial year.
Rob Travis, Dave Baker, Dave James and Ted Wake will continue to lead the business as directors.
Travis Baker’s long standing clients include Redrow, Bloor Homes, Barratt Homes, Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Miller Homes, Bellway and Keepmoat Homes.
Recent projects include the major redevelopment of the Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, a 50-acre mixed use development at Beacon Business Park in Staffordshire and 2,000 new homes in Northamptonshire.

As RSK continues to deliver its ambitious growth strategy it is now comprised of more than 175 companies, employing 10,000 people. The group’s annual turnover at the end of fiscal year 2022 is expected to be in excess of £800m, more than double the previous year.
The acquisition advisors were Simon Lloydbottom and Oliver Wadlow from Alinea Corporate Finance.
