Agent wins major management instruction on multi-let industrial estate

Charlotte Steggles, James McArthur, Jamie Pervin and Jude Weston of NG Chartered Surveyors

NG Chartered Surveyors have landed a major deal after being instructed to manage a multi-let industrial estate in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

NG has taken over the management of The Ropewalk Industrial Estate, which comprises 35 individually let warehouse and workshop units of varying sizes, ranging from 400 sq ft workshops to a 2,500 sq ft unit. NG will be providing full management of the estate and dealing with the service charge on behalf of a private client.

James McArthur, director at NG, said: “We are really pleased to be instructed on this estate and we are excited to get involved. We can already see the potential for our client, where our experience can immediately add value to the investment.

“There are a number of issues that need to be addressed immediately. This is where we can add value by managing the asset, creating an industrial estate that is a highly sought after destination.

“It is a case of rolling our sleeves up and getting stuck in, as there is plenty to be getting on with, involving the whole NG team, with all departments adding their experience and knowledge. I love these projects as they present a challenge, but it is clear that our vision matches our client’s.”

McArthur will be assisted on the instruction by NG’s Charlotte Steggles and Jack Ireland as well Jamie Pervin who heads up NG’s new Facilities Management department.

A statement from the private client said: “I am delighted the NG team is supporting this investment for the long term – I know it is a big task initially and will challenge us at times. When I first mentioned the opportunity to James and his team at NG, they immediately understood the issues needing attention and shared the same long term vision for the asset.”

FHP Property Consultants have been retained to deal with any lettings on the estate. There are a number of vacant units immediately available and interested parties should contact Amy Howard of FHP.
