Italian restaurant closes doors just seven months after opening

Ottimo

An Italian restaurant which only opened its doors in April has closed, with the loss of around 30 jobs.

When it opened in the Beeston Square development, Ottimo, which was the latest offering from the company behind popular Nottingham restaurant Sans Patrie, promised to offer “an authentic array of the finest Italian flavours”.

Ottimo was launched by Ross Considine and Nick Parker and had space for 150 diners in a 3,000 sq ft unit in the multimillion-pound Beeston Square development.

Now, according to Nottinghamshire Live, the restaurant has been shuttered just two days after launching its Christmas menu.

Ottimo is the latest victim of the cost of living crisis and energy price hikes. Earlier this month, Olivia’s Townhouse in Nottingham’s Chapel Bar closed its doors.
