Football star teams up with property developer for land goal

Former Leeds United and Liverpool footballer Dominic Matteo, and his wife Jessica, have teamed up with CurveBlock to be the venture partners and ambassadors for the innovative property developer.

Curveblock homes will be energy-positive

The Matteos will work with CurveBlock to develop joint ventures that offer land owners more than just a standard Red Book valuation.

The Leeds-based developer specialises in constructing residential homes and holiday lodges that are energy positive and sustainable, using a combination of modern methods of construction (MMC) and traditional building techniques.

It is seeking sites across Great Britain which have planning permission for at least 15 units.

CurveBlock co-founder Gary Woodhead said: “The road to our goal has been marked by challenges and obstacles, but we have been buoyed by the unwavering support of our investors, community, and now Dominic and Jessica.

Matteo played more than 300 times, including six times for Scotland, and was part of the Leeds United team that reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2001.
