Turnover up at freight firm after year of investment

Nottingham logistics firm Baxter Freight has posted a rise in turnover after what it called “a year of new investment”.

The firm posted revenues of £37m in 2022, a rise of £6m on 2021. Profit, however, fell by £600,000 to £700,000.

The the number of consignments handled by Baxter Freight rose by 29% to 54,500, with average staff numbers up from 84 to 113 over the year.

Meanwhile, the company has created a new level of senior management, with associate directors promoted from across the business.

The strength of our team has driven new solutions to help our customers navigate the complexities of a post-Brexit world and ready ourselves for the next round of challenges that the 21st Century will undoubtedly bring.”
