Fresh bidder emerges in £4bn Center Parcs race

Another name has entered the race to buy Center Parcs, according to reports.

Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Government Investment Corporation (GIC) is eyeing up a joint £4b bid for the Nottingham-headquartered holiday resorts firm along with private equity firm KSL Capital Partners, says Sky News.

GIC has been interested in taking control of Center Parcs for some time, and partnered with CVC Capital Partners to make a bid in 2015.

CVC itself is reported to be preparing a £4bn for Center Parcs, which is currently owned by Canadian property giant Brookfield Partners.

They joins other interested parties including Antin and previous owner Blackstone.

Center Parcs has six sites across the UK and Ireland.
