Truck body manufacturer runs out of gas as administrators set to step in

A Nottinghamshire firm which manufactures truck plant bodies is set to call in administrators, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

Clipstone-based Shawtrack Services began life in 1992 as a specialist transport company, but diversified into engineering bodies over the years.

However, the company has now applied to enter administration through law firm The Wilkes Partnership.

According to Companies House, founder James Shaw-Browne and fellow director Carol Ann Shaw Browne stepped down as directors on the Tuesday 4 July and Wednesday 5 July.

Shawtrack’s latest accounts, made up to the end of 2021, show the firm had assets of just under £386,000, while it owed creditors almost £460,000.

The average number of employees during the year was 30.
