On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Sam Webster

Former Nottingham City Council councillor Sam Webster has been appointed as vice-president of Co-op’s National Members’ Council.

He takes on the role in addition to his role as vice-chair of Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Credit Union.

He said: “I’m very committed to the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, and it’s a pleasure to support them and their needs every day, through what I do.

“This new role on Co-op National Members’ Council is an opportunity to represent the best interests of millions of people across the country, including those local to me, and drive real change in a business that is doing so much good and still has potential to do more.”

Webster is the vice-chair of the bard at Notts and Lincs Credit Union and is a non-executive director at Nottingham City Homes Group. He was a councillor on Nottingham City Council for ten years and is a member of the Co-operative Party.

Nottingham-based PR and marketing firm, Eden, has made a double hire.

Kyle Lynch and Charlie Peters have joined the company as digital and PR account executive and digital and social media account executive, respectively.

Lynch said: “Joining Eden PR has been a huge step in my career, and I am already enjoying the broad range of clients I work with as it means no day is the same. Coming from an in-house PR background, being at an agency is an adjustment to what I’m used to, but I have been provided with an extensive amount of training in a short space of time to enhance my skills and adapt to my new environment.”

Peter said: “Eden PR already feels like the perfect fit for me. The wide range of clients we work with is exciting and keeps me on my toes, while the knowledge and experience on hand to guide me is second to none. I’m looking forward to developing my skills here at Eden and hopefully being able to contribute to further success for the company going forward.”

Emily Winsor-Russell, director and head of new business at Eden, added: “We’re delighted to have Kyle and Charlie on board. They are already fitting in well with the team and have made an impact straight away, particularly in how they are bringing their own perspectives to client social media programmes.

“We’re keen to ensure every single member of team Eden has the opportunity to reach and then exceed their potential and we can see that Kyle and Charlie have already impressed our account managers with their creativity, media intuition and digital growth suggestions.”
