Plans for new Nottingham bar scrapped in favour of office space
Plans to locate a new bar inside a mixed-use scheme in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market scheme have been dropped by its developers.
Perrymead Estates is behind the plans for 15-17 Stoney Street, which was formerly used as a textile and educational workshop in the heart of the city’s Lace Market.
The scheme, which was granted planning consent last August, will extend the building around the corner of Woolpack Lane and Stoney Street, and was to include a bar on the ground floor.
However, a new planning application has now been submitted to Nottingham City Council which sees the bar eliminated from the scheme in favour of office space on the ground floor, while the number of upper floor apartments has been extended from seven to nine.
The scheme will also offices and apartments on the first floor, with the second and third floors a mixture of rental apartments. It will also include a rooftop terrace.
The new project is being designed by marsh:grochowski.
Perrymead Estates already has a multimillion-pound property portfolio, which includes the Lace Market’s Garage Studios office complex and Stoney Street Studios.
