A plot of land near Colliery Way in the Gedling area of Nottingham, potentially suitable for new houses and apartments, is now available for sale.

The land, spanning just over six acres and formally referred to as the Gedling access road, is being listed at a guide price of £500,000.

Previously, there was outline planning permission for 25 detached houses and 20 apartments on this site, although it has since lapsed.

This plot is near Gedling Country Park, which covers 580 acres and the Chase Farm housing development, set to include 1,000 houses when finished.

Colliery Way runs alongside Arnold Lane and the old colliery site, with the road, costing £49m, having opened in March.

Director at Innes England, Scott Osbourne said: “This development opportunity is a rare gem that has come to the market. It’s an opportunity for the right buyer to snap up an area that’s surrounded by a wide variety of amenities and has grown in popularity since the opening of the country park in particular.

“Coupled with its vicinity to the new 1,000 home housing development and the new Gedling Access Road it’s situated on, this site offers real potential in a thriving area of Nottinghamshire.

“Outline planning permissions for a variety of uses have also been gained already, including roadside retail, drive-thru food as well as sit down pubs and restaurants, leisure and gymnasium facilities, Industrial and employment operations, and logistics and distribution centres. These permissions give the site a very wide scope of potential and make it an ideal investment.”
