Nottingham law firm announces raft of promotions

Carolle White, Kieron Crowther, Paula Haverkamp, Liam Wilkinson, Karen Salt and Graham Richardson

The Nottingham office of law firm Nelsons has promoted seven of its employees, spanning various legal departments and management roles.

Kieron Crowther has been promoted to the position of partner, moving up from his previous role as legal director.

Crowther became a qualified solicitor in 2002 and became part of the firm’s team in 2019.

Over the years, he has built experience in land transactions, and commercial development, and, more recently, he has been contributing his knowledge to commercial renewable energy and development projects.

Solicitors Liam Wilkinson and Carolle White have been promoted to legal directors, while Paula Haverkamp and Karen Salt have been made senior associates.

Wilkinson joined the firm in 2021 and brings knowledge in land transactions, landlord-tenant matters, and commercial auctions, while White has been with Nelsons since 2017, and specialises in complex medical negligence cases, including pregnancy and birth injury claims.

Haverkamp, a dispute resolution specialist with over 20 years at the firm, advises on various property disputes and residential landlord-tenant matters and Salt has been with Nelsons since 2014 and offers guidance on wills, inheritance tax planning, estate administration, and powers of attorney.

Additionally, Graham Richardson has been promoted to legal accounts manager, and Elise-Marie Storer has transitioned into the role of learning and development specialist.

Richardson has been part of the legal accounts team since 2018 and received the ‘Can-Do Award’ at last year’s Nelsons’ awards for his consistently positive attitude and helpfulness.

Storer, a former HR advisor, has focused on topics including topics like equality, diversity, inclusion, and menopause awareness, as she moves into a new role that will centre on the ongoing personal and professional development of employees.

Stewart Vandermark, chief executive at Nelsons, said: “It is fantastic to announce so many well-deserved promotions and I would like to congratulate everyone on their achievements. At Nelsons we strive to recognise the expertise within specific roles, but also the commitment to living out the firm’s values and behaviours.

“These promotions are also a testament to each individual’s dedication to their wider team as well as their clients, in their respective areas of expertise.”
