Property consultant facilitates store acquisition
Business property consultants Christie & Co have brokered the sale of a convenience store and post office on Cambridge Road in Grimsby to One Stop convenience store.
The store benefits from a post office serving the local community, which will remain operational under the retailer’s ownership.
While undergoing a shop re-fit and post office counter remodel, the brand has temporarily closed the store.
Dave Morris, regional director of retail at Christie & Co, said: “The store represented a good opportunity for One Stop and their growing portfolio. The market for convenience stores remains buoyant despite the higher rates of borrowing and overall economic backdrop. Post Offices continue to be an important asset to the community and footfall driver to convenience stores.”
Nick Riches, senior acquisition manager at One Stop said: “We’re thrilled to have collaborated with Christie & Co in the acquisition of our new Grimsby convenience store and Post Office. This strategic move is a vital step in expanding the One Stop portfolio across the nation, aligning with our store growth goals. Christie & Co’s expertise has played a pivotal role in securing this valuable addition to our estate, reinforcing our commitment to providing unparalleled convenience to communities nationwide.”
